Stage 4 Tour de Suisse 2025

18.06

João Almeida claimed an impressive solo victory on stage 4 of the Tour de Suisse with a 47-kilometre attack launched from the top of the Splügenpass. After dropping his rivals near the summit, he defended his lead on the long descent to Piuro. Oscar Onley and Ben O’Connor completed the podium, 40 seconds behind.

What we said about Stage 4 on beforehand

Stage 4 of the 2025 Tour de Suisse brings the first Alpine test. After 110 flat kilometres from Heiden, the road rises to the Splügen Pass — 9km at 7.2%, topping out at 2,113 metres. The GC contenders may look to attack, but with 47km remaining after the summit, including a fast descent into Italy and an uphill drag to Piuro, the outcome is far from certain.
