Remco Evenepoel went full gas to win the wind neutralised 17km time trial on stage 2 of the Volta Comunitat Valenciana, even though it was ridden on road bikes and the times did not count for GC. After a late decision to neutralise the stage due to dangerous winds, he still set the pace from the start, took the lead at the intermediate check and held it to the line, beating Aleksandr Vlasov and Mathias Vacek. Biniam Girmay finished safely and keeps the yellow jersey for the next stage.
