The battle between the Women’s WorldTour elite continues with a brand-new test: the inaugural Copenhagen Sprint. Our creators Bence Czigelmajer and Lukas Knöfler are here to rank the top contenders. Who will they give their five stars to?
The 2025 Copenhagen Sprint takes place on Saturday June 21 and is built for the fastest women on two wheels. Expect pure sprinting power in the heart of the Danish capital after a race of 151.3 kilometres. With Lorena Wiebes on the start line, the question is simple: can anyone stop her?
"Copenhagen Sprint is a debut race on the women's WorldTour calendar, and although it may seem like a simple sprint race at first glance, tomorrow's edition will be challenging. The strength of the crosswind in the first 30 kilometres and between kilometres 70 and 110 will allow for splits to form in the peloton, and the Copenhagen circuit is similar to a criterium race route, meaning that positioning will be key at the end of the race."
"SD Worx and Lorena Wiebes are arriving with a full sprint team, and if Gerritse, Vas, and Guarischi can keep the race under control, they have a good chance of fighting for the victory. Lidl-Trek, accompanied by the Copponi, Moors, Balsamo trio, are the main opponents to the Dutch team: we are likely to witness a new chapter in the Wiebes-Balsamo rivalry. I've also included a small surprise in the top 3: Nienke Veenhoven won last year's Down Under Criterium and has been performing consistently well on circuit courses for years now; tomorrow's finish will suit her very well."

* Coles-Lyster, de Zoete, Baker, Wolff, Steigenga
"The race name speaks for itself, and with my local knowledge, I can confirm that this will be a sprint. Unless something exceptional happens, that sprint will be won by Wiebes - she is simply the best sprinter in the women's peloton at the moment. Sorry, Elisa Balsamo & Charlotte Kool."

Our creators Bence Czigelmajer and Lukas Knöfler are in agreement: Lorena Wiebes won’t be stopped from taking the win in the first-ever Copenhagen Sprint. Both see Elisa Balsamo as her biggest challenger - but it would take something special to beat the Dutch sprint queen.
