Ben Healy wins Super Combativity award at the 2025 Tour de France
The Irishman will stand on the podium in Paris after a remarkable Tour that saw him win a stage, wear the yellow jersey and finish in the top 10 overall.

Ben Healy has been elected as the most combative rider of the 2025 Tour de France. The Irishman was an all-action presence on this year’s race, winning stage 6 in Vire with a daring solo move and then spending two days in the yellow jersey in week two.
In the third week, Healy would place second atop Mont Ventoux after a spirited tussle with Valentin Paret-Peintre and the EF Education-EasyPost rider is set to the finish the Tour in ninth place overall.
Healy will now be feted on the podium in Paris as the ‘Super combatif’ of the 2025 Tour, emulating his fellow Irishman Dan Martin who took the honour in 2018.
The most combative rider of the Tour is decided by a combination of a public vote and an expert jury.
Jonas Abrahamsen (Uno-X Mobility), winner of stage 11 in Toulouse, won the public vote, which was conducted on social media, but following the consultations of the jury, the overall prize was awarded to Healy, who succeeds Richard Carapaz on the roll of honour.
Six other riders were nominated for the €20,000 prize (see the full prize money breakdown here): double stage winner Thymen Arensman (Ineos Grenadiers), Bruno Armirail (Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale), Jordan Jegat (TotalEnergies), Quinn Simmons (Lidl-Trek), Michael Storer (Tudor Pro Cycling) and Tim Wellens (UAE Team Emirates-XRG).
Earlier in the Tour, Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Deceuninck) was voted most combative rider of the opening week, while Jegat was given the nod for the second week – but the overall prize goes to Healy.
