French time trial champion Armirail embarks on next chapter with Visma | Lease a Bike
Bruno Armirail has signed a two-year contract with Team Visma | Lease a Bike, bringing his time trial engine and expertise and a wealth of WorldTour experience to the Dutch squad after his departure from Decathlon AG2R at the end of the 2025 season.

The 31-year-old Frenchman, a three-time national time trial champion, will strengthen the team's support capabilities in Grand Tours with his aforementioned engine, with a knack for the breakaway and challenging stage races.
"This is a unique opportunity in my career to race for one of the best teams in the world," Armirail stated in the Visma | Lease a Bike press release. "I look forward to being part of a team that can compete for victory in nearly every race. I expect to play an important support role in the major races while continuing to improve in time trials, on climbs, and in managing breakaways."
Armirail has demonstrated his immense versatility this season by claiming the King of the Mountains classifications at both the Itzulia Basque and the Dauphiné, showcasing his climbing abilities alongside his time trial prowess, where Armirail claimed the national French ITT title for the third time in his career in June.
Grischa Niermann, head of racing at Team Visma | Lease a Bike, sees Armirail as a valuable addition to their roster. "He's suitable for all terrains," Niermann said. "We believe that within our professional environment, he can still achieve further development in his career."
Armirail adds to a solid window for Visma, with signings including Filippo Filorelli, Timo Kielich and Anton Schiffer.
