I grew up immersed in the U.S. bike racing scene and started following pro cycling in the 1980s. While I’ve seen a lot of change over the years with technology, training, tactics – you name it – one thing has stayed remarkably consistent: the passion of the riders. Their pursuit of something bigger than themselves has been a constant that continues to draw me in and keep me hooked. Based in Europe, I enjoy covering races in person and having the opportunity to get close to the action, people, and stories. Spring Classics, women’s cycling, and cyclo-cross are favorites, but there’s really nothing like a Grand Tour. But to be honest – anything with two wheels and pedals is fair game.
