Remco Evenepoel claimed his second European time trial title just a week after securing his third world crown. The 25-year-old Belgian lived up to his favourite status with a dominant ride over 24 kilometres. He quickly distanced Filippo Ganna and steadily extended his advantage to win by 43 seconds. Niklas Larsen took bronze, narrowly ahead of Ethan Hayter and Josh Tarling.
