In Flanders Fields - from Middelkerke to Wevelgem, first raced in 1934, is one of the key fixtures of the Flemish spring and has long been known for its mix of exposed roads, cobbled climbs and the decisive Kemmelberg. In recent years the race was officially titled Gent Wevelgem in Flanders Field, but changed to In Flanders Fields - from Middelkerke to Wevelgem. Despite this change, the race continues to honour its heritage while remaining a versatile classic where both powerful sprinters and strong all rounders have found success.
