Carlos Canal took his first professional victory by winning stage 2 of the O Gran Camiño in a reduced sprint finish. The Movistar Team rider benefited from a hard finale set up by his teammates before proving fastest ahead of Mats Wenzel and Eric Fagúndez. It made the win even more special as it came on home roads, while Rafael Reis moved into the overall lead.
