Stage 1 Renewi Tour 2025

Tim Merlier sprinted to victory on the opening stage of the Renewi Tour, surviving a tense, wind-affected day in the Dutch flatlands. A large 16-man breakaway animated the race but was reeled in with 5km to go, setting up the expected bunch sprint. Merlier proved the fastest, beating Arnaud De Lie and Juan Sebastián Molano to take the stage win and leader’s jersey.
