Filippo Ganna won the opening time trial of Tirreno Adriatico in Lido di Camaiore, claiming his fourth victory in the stage in the last five years. The Ineos Grenadiers rider completed the 11.5 km course in 12:08, beating teammate Thymen Arensman by 22 seconds, while Max Walscheid finished third. Several general classification contenders, including Primož Roglič, Antonio Tiberi and Isaac del Toro, also placed in the top ten and limited their time losses.
