Maeva Squiban claimed her first WorldTour victory with a well-timed attack on the final climb and a fearless descent on stage 6 of the Tour de France Femmes. The young French rider soloed to the finish in Ambert, delivering the first home win of the race and a much-needed boost for UAE Team ADQ after several early withdrawals. Juliette Labous finished second at 1:10, with yellow jersey Kim Le Court third, extending her overall lead.

Stage 6 is the first true mountain test, featuring five categorised climbs over 124 kilometres from Clermont-Ferrand to Ambert. The Col du Béal (10.6 km at 5.5%) headlines the day, but with the Côte de Valcivières topping out just 13 km from the finish, late attacks — or daring descents — could prove decisive.
