Jasper Philipsen sprinted to victory in a chaotic and windswept Stage 1 of the 2025 Tour de France. Alpecin-Deceuninck controlled the finale with a textbook leadout. Echelons split the race in the final 20km, dropping several favourites. Vingegaard and Pogačar gained time on key GC rivals like Evenepoel and Roglič.
