Stage 21 Tour de France 2025
27.07
Wout van Aert delivered a stunning ride in the rain-soaked streets of Paris to win stage 21 of the 2025 Tour de France. On a final day that felt more like a gritty one-day Classic than a celebratory parade, the Belgian powered away on the last ascent of Montmartre, distancing even yellow jersey Tadej Pogačar. The Slovenian had animated the race himself, attacking repeatedly despite GC times being neutralised, but couldn't match Van Aert's final surge. While Van Aert took his 10th Tour stage win, Pogačar rolled in behind to seal his fourth overall Tour title, ahead of Jonas Vingegaard and Florian Lipowitz.

About Tour de France 2025 Stage 21 beforehand
The traditional Paris parade returns, but stage 21 has a twist. To mark 50 years of the Champs-Élysées finish, the peloton will climb Montmartre three times - 1.1 kilometres at 5.9%, with the final ascent just 6 kilometres from the line. A bunch sprint is no longer guaranteed, and the champagne may have to wait.
