Tadej Pogačar won stage 2 of the Tour de Romandie with a powerful sprint from a reduced peloton, securing back to back victories and extending his overall lead. An early breakaway featuring riders including Jakob Söderqvist was caught in the final kilometres as teams like UAE Team Emirates-XRG controlled the pace. In the uphill finish, Pogačar surged past late attacker Dorian Godon to underline his dominance.
