Jordi Meeus sprinted to victory in stage 6 of the Tour de Suisse after a textbook lead-out from Danny van Poppel. A four-man break animated the stage but was caught just before the finish. Kévin Vauquelin retained the overall lead, while Meeus celebrated his second career WorldTour win.
Stage 6 is billed as a flat stage, but with over 2,200 metres of climbing in 186.7km from Chur to Neuhausen am Rheinfall, it’s no easy day for the sprinters. Three early climbs could cause splits, but with over 100km of flatter roads to regroup, a sprint finish remains likely — if enough teams commit to the chase.
