First raced in 1964, Trofeo Laigueglia has developed into a traditional curtain raiser for the Italian road season. Its combination of coastal roads, short steep climbs such as the Colla Micheri and a technical finishing circuit has produced winners ranging from punchy climbers to fast finishing classics riders, giving the UCI ProSeries race a distinctive character.
