Remco Evenepoel dominated the 12.2 kilometre stage 2 time trial at the UAE Tour, stopping the clock at 13:03 to take both the stage win and the red jersey. Josh Tarling finished second at six seconds, while Isaac del Toro lost 42 seconds in worsening wind to sit 32 seconds behind overall. Del Toro will try to strike back on stage 3, which finishes on the new Jebel Mobrah climb.
