Magnus Cort won stage 2 of the Volta a Catalunya with a perfectly timed sprint in Banyoles. A five-man breakaway was caught in the final kilometre after a long effort, despite briefly threatening to stay clear. Dorian Godon kept the overall lead, with Cort now level on time in second place.
