Volta Comunitat Valenciana 2026
04.02-08.02
The 2026 Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana runs from February 4 to February 8, 2026. The peloton will cover 601.7 km across the five stages of the UCI 2.Pro race, and the fast men should get an early opportunity on the opening day. Remco Evenepoel starts as the rider to beat for the GC, especially with the 17 km ITT on Stage 2, but João Almeida arrives as the obvious benchmark in the GC fight. Cian Uijtdebroeks, Antonio Tiberi and Mathias Vacek add depth to a strong field.

Route
The 2026 Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana packs variety into five compact days and leaves little room for control. On Stage 1, the sprinters get an early chance, with the Puerto Los Madronos adding a late sting before what should still be a fast finish. Stage 2 is a 17 km individual time trial that will shape the general classification straight away, creating gaps that could define the week.
The race turns more technical and explosive on Stage 3, where the Alto de Tibi offers bonus seconds and a tricky run in with multiple roundabouts rewards sharp positioning. Everything then points to Stage 4 as the decisive test, with more than 3,000 metres of climbing and repeated steep ramps that favour attackers over steady pacing.
A short run into Valencia wraps things up on Stage 5 and should bring the fast men back into play, unless late opportunism or crosswinds flip the script.
Favourites
Remco Evenepoel starts as the clear favourite, thanks to the stage 2 time trial and a stage 4 profile that rewards explosive climbing and repeated efforts. João Almeida looks like the primary challenger, strong against the clock and consistent on hard terrain, but he must limit losses in the TT. Cian Uijtdebroeks is a key wildcard on the climbing day, while Antonio Tiberi and Mathias Vacek could shape the race from stage 3 onwards if they find time early.
