Shari Bossuyt won stage 2 of La Vuelta Femenina in San Cibrao das Viñas after holding her line during a late clash with Lotte Kopecky in the sprint. Franziska Koch finished second and took over the red jersey after previous leader Noemi Rüegg crashed with 12 km to go and had to abandon. The rain soaked, rolling finale reduced the peloton to around 30 riders before Bossuyt powered clear for a surprise victory.
