Cédrine Kerbaol won stage 3 of the Vuelta España Femenina with a perfectly timed solo attack inside the final 2 kilometres. Felicity Wilson-Haffenden had animated much of the stage from the early break, before a series of late attacks reduced the peloton in the punchy finale. Franziska Koch survived a difficult closing phase to defend the red jersey.
