Five picks for your Paris-Nice and Tirreno-Adriatico fantasy teams

It is time for two of the biggest week long stage races on the UCI calendar: Paris-Nice and Tirreno-Adriatico. Here we highlight five riders who stand out as top picks.

1. Juan Ayuso

Juan Ayuso is the clear “high tier” rider you should pick for your Paris Nice fantasy teams, costing 1200 credits. The Spaniard arrives at Paris Nice off the back of a brilliant Volta ao Algarve, where he won the GC after also taking a stage victory.

His kick to the line on both stage 2 and the final stage was impressive as he further confirmed his ability to succeed in duels to the line. Not only that, Ayuso also delivered a strong ITT and will aim to replicate that with his Lidl Trek teammates in the TTT.

With that TTT in mind and Lidl Trek’s firepower, you would assume Ayuso is without doubt one of the top favourites for the GC and will put up a fight against Jonas Vingegaard.

2. Cees Bol (Decathlon CMA CGM)

Cees Bol has been in fine form in 2026. The Dutchman recently transferred from XDS Astana to Decathlon CMA CGM. In the opening stage of the UAE Tour, Bol took second place after running out of road while trying to overtake the winner, Isaac del Toro.

During Opening Weekend, Bol also finished in the top ten at Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne after a hard day of racing, highlighting that his form is there.

For 200 credits and based on Decathlon’s line up for Paris-Nice, you would assume that Bol is the team’s designated sprinter, so he is likely to be given some opportunities, especially in the opening stages.

3. Mathys Rondel (Tudor)

Mathys Rondel is regarded as a promising French talent and backed that up with some solid performances at the Challenge Mallorca, including a standout second place behind Remco Evenepoel.

After Mallorca, Rondel travelled to the Middle East to compete at the UAE Tour, where he lined up against some of the top climbing talent in the world. He was on the cusp of a few top ten finishes.

For 200 credits, you will probably not find a better value rider in either Paris-Nice or Tirreno-Adriatico with the upside that Rondel offers in the race for Tudor Pro Cycling Team.

4. Paul Magnier

For 800 credits, Magnier is one of the top riders to pick for Tirreno-Adriatico. The Frenchman impressed at the Volta ao Algarve, where his turn of speed in the sprints was blistering, even making Jasper Philipsen look average.

With the way the parcours is laid out, Magnier will relish the slightly draggy sprints and the stages that feature significant elevation gain, as he appears very comfortable in that terrain.

We predict that Magnier will win at least two stages in the race and continue his strong start to the 2026 season for Soudal Quick-Step.

5. Lennert Van Eetvelt (Lotto-Intermarche)

Lennert Van Eetvelt could be competing for the GC in the race, especially as he excels in uphill kick finishes and draggy sprints. After a strong sixth place in the GC at the UAE Tour and coming off Strade Bianche, he may have hoped for more.

The stage to watch for Van Eetvelt in particular is stage two, with its kick to the line and some gravel sections added to the finale.

If Van Eetvelt performs well in the ITT, he could potentially push on to win the GC of the race, which would be his first since the Tour of Guangxi in 2024.

The question, however, is how much damage the Belgian sustained in his crash at Strade Bianche
