Netcompany-Ineos 2026 Tour de France: 'Fortune favours the brave'
The British team won seven Tour de France titles with four different riders from 2012 to 2019. While they haven't been able to reach the heights of the 2010s in the GC since, Netcompany-Ineos claimed two stage victories last year and features a team with multiple former top-10 GC finishers as well as a former winner. Here's a look at who will line up for Netcompany-Ineos at the 2026 Tour de France.

2025 Tour de France:
- 2025 Tour stage wins: 2
- 2025 Best GC finish: 12th - Thymen Arensman
2026 Objectives:
Director of Racing and 2018 Tour Champion Geraint Thomas has outlined the team's ambition to race aggressively and the team features plenty of strong climbers to do so including Thymen Arensman, Egan Bernal and Kévin Vauquelin.
"This team has some great racers who people love to watch. They’ll have the freedom to go for it and race aggressively across the three weeks," said Thomas. "Fortune favours the brave. We didn't come to this Tour to follow the race - we came to shape it."
With the likes of Filippo Ganna, Josh Tarling and Tobias Foss in the team, Netcompany-Ineos will be looking to make their mark on the opening stage in the team time trial.
"Barcelona’s team time trial presents a great opportunity to start strongly. This year we’ve performed well in this discipline so we'll give it everything we’ve got. From there, it’s going to be full-on and we’re ready to take on the challenge," added Thomas.
Meanwhile, former French Champion Dorian Godon gives the team opportunities from reduced group finishes, and the team is anchored by former World Champion Michał Kwiatkowski who will provide valuable experience as road captain.

🇮🇹 Filippo Ganna (29): Last year's Tour ended before it even really began for Filippo Ganna. The Italian machine was forced out of the race after 50km on the opening stage with symptoms of concussion following a crash. Following his Tour disappointment, Ganna bounced back with a time trial victory at the Vuelta last September. More recently, Ganna dominated the individual time trial on stage 10 of the Giro this May. In his fourth consecutive Grand Tour, Ganna will be one to watch as he hunts a first Tour stage win.
🇳🇱 Thymen Arensman (26): The Dutchman arrives at the Tour without pressure, having finished a strong fourth at the Giro in May. Last year's Tour was stellar for Arensman, who won a stage in both the Pyrenees and the Alps, even holding off Pogačar and Vingegaard during one of their battles.
🇫🇷 Dorian Godon (30): One of the signings of the season has to be the former French Champion Dorian Godon. Godon stands out as one of the most versatile finishers in the peloton and has enjoyed great success in the colours of the British team with five WorldTour stage wins in 2026 across Paris-Nice, the Volta a Catalunya and the Tour de Romandie. A first Tour stage win would be a crowning moment of an already excellent debut season with Netcompany-Ineos.
🇵🇱 Michał Kwiatkowski (36): The former World Champion will be one of the most experienced riders in the entire race. Kwiatkowski was part of three winning Tour teams with Ineos from 2017 to 2019, and in the years since, has claimed stage victories in 2020 and 2023. The Polish star skipped the Tour last year for a trip to Spain, where he featured in many breakaways, indicating we can expect more of the same this summer.
🇫🇷 Kévin Vauquelin (25): The Frenchman has excelled in his home race in his two appearances so far, earning him a move to the British team. In 2024, Vauquelin claimed a victory from the breakaway on stage 2 in the Italian Grand Départ. Last year, Vauquelin battled to seventh overall, earning the honour of the highest-placed Frenchman in the GC. Since his move to Netcompany-Ineos, Vauquelin's standout GC result was fourth at Paris-Nice in March.
🇳🇴 Tobias Foss (29): When the Norwegian won the Tour de l'Avenir back in 2019, Foss confirmed his talent and his potential to make a mark on the biggest stage. It took until last year for Foss to make his Tour debut, where the former time trial World Champion was a reliable engine within the Ineos ranks. His recent fourth place overall at the Tour de Suisse and victory in the national time trial championship suggest that Foss could make a much bigger impact this time.
🇨🇴 Egan Bernal (29): The 2019 champion returns to the race for the first time since 2024. In the meantime, Bernal has raced in three Grand Tours, including the recent Giro, where he finished tenth overall while supporting Thymen Arensman to fourth. Bernal hasn't raced since the Giro, so there are no indications on how his level will compare, but the Colombian Champion did race two Grand Tours in 2025 and thrived at the latter, winning a stage of the Vuelta.
🇬🇧 Joshua Tarling (22): Josh Tarling is set to make his Tour debut, but it was touch-and-go for the time trial star. At the Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Tarling crashed on stage 6 of the Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in a separate incident from Oscar Onley's crash, which left the 22-year-old with a broken collarbone. As he has proven multiple times, Tarling is far more than just a time trial machine, and he is often seen protecting his teammates, dictating the tempo, or lighting it up in the breakaway.
