'Today was as dry as overcooked kangaroo meat' - Tour de France - Stage 8 - The Cooldown podcast
Stage 8 gave us one of the driest days of the Tour so far, but Jonathan Milan came through with a classy sprint win that had just enough chaos to make things interesting. Alpecin fumbled the lead-out, Groves led out an empty wheel, and Milan said thank you very much.

Meanwhile, Wout van Aert casually surfed wheels to second place, showing he's got real legs again. Jonas Vingegaard was throwing elbows like a guy who hasn't sprinted in years, Pogačar was out back having a chat, and Merlier just couldn’t get back into it after a late flat. Oh, and Almeida? He’s riding with a broken rib and road rash, and still pushing through.
Cyrus and Aidan break down the mess of a finale, ask why ASO insists on bendy finishes, and call out the organisers for scheduling two snoozers in a row on a Tour de France weekend.
