Prize money general classification (yellow jersey) Tour de France Femmes

The most coveted prize in all of cycling, the yellow jersey, is awarded to the winner of the general classification, but how much does that translate to in terms of prize money?

The Tour de France Femmes prize pool is about 10% of the men's race. The winner of the Tour de France Femmes receives €50,000 compared to the €500,000 for the winner of the men's race.

In total €117,500 is awarded in prize money for the final individual general classification, whilst an extra €100 euros is awarded daily for the holder of the yellow jersey from the 2nd to the 8th stage, meaning that a total of €118,300 euros is handed out across the Tour de France Femmes towards the general classification.

Every day is payday in the Tour de France Femmes. Prize money is handed out at the end of each stage to the first twenty finishers, with 1st place taking €4,000. In total, €10,000 is handed out each stage, meaning that in total across the nine stages €90,000 will be awarded in prize money towards the stage classification.

Prize money points classification (Green Jersey) Tour de France Femmes

The points classification rewards the fast finishers. Points are awarded at both stage finishes and intermediate sprints. €3,000 is awarded to the winner of the points classification at the end of the race alongside the green jersey from a pool of €7000, which is separated between the top five in the standings.

Across the nine intermediate sprints, €1,980 will be handed out, alongside the €700 for the daily leader of the classification.

In total, €9,780 will be awarded towards the points classification in the 2025 Tour de France Femmes.

Prize money mountains classification (Polka-Dot Jersey) Tour de France Femmes

The polka dot jersey is contested between the best and most combative climbers. Points are awarded at the top of categorised climbs, with more points on offer for the most difficult ascents, hors category. Ā 

The winner of the mountains classification will pocket €3,000, just like the points classification, alongside the polka dot jersey from a pool of €7,000 which will be split between the top five finishers in the standings.Ā 

From the QoM summits, €2,550 will be handed out also.

In total, €10,350 will be awarded throughout the 2025 Tour de France Femmes in the mountains classification.

Prize money youth classification (White Jersey) Tour de France Femmes

The white jersey is awarded to the rider who is placed highest in the general classification, aged 23 or under (under 25 in the men's race).Ā 

The top four finishers in the classification will receive a cash prize at the end of the race from a pool of €6,500, with 1st taking €3,000 of that.Ā 

The first rider to finish each stage that qualifies for the youth classification will take €100, meaning there's €900 up for grabs in that aspect, with the same €100 available for the daily holder of the white jersey, with €800 in total to take from the 2nd stage to the 9th stage.Ā 

Based on these figures, €8,200 will be awarded for the youth classification at the 2025 Tour de France Femmes.

Prize money Tour de France Femmes team classification.

The team classification rewards the strongest collective effort throughout the Tour de France. It's based on the cumulative time of each team’s best three riders per stage.Ā 

The top five teams in the classification at the end of the race will receive cash prizes, with the first team taking €6,500, with the fifth-placed team taking €500. This means that €14,500 will be handed out for the final standings for the first five teams in the team classification.

The team that sits first at the end of each stage in the standings will pocket €200 daily, meaning that across the nine stages, €1,800 will be up for grabs.

Based on these figures, in total, €16,300 euros will be awarded for the team classification

Prize money Tour de France Femmes combativity award

The combativity award is awarded to a rider at the end of each stage, chosen by a jury, celebrating the 'fighting spirit' of riders who may not necessarily win the stage or general classification but make the race dynamic and engaging for spectators. The daily cash prize for the most combative rider is €500. This means that across the nine stages, €4,500 will be handed out for the daily most combative rider.Ā 

There is also an overall super-combativity award awarded to the rider who has been deemed by the jury to be the most combative rider throughout the entire race, which awards €2,000 to the winner.

Based on these figures, in total, €6,500 will be awarded across the 2025 Tour de France Femmes to the most aggressive rider classification.
