Who has the most Vuelta a España wins?

After winning the Vuelta a España in 2024, Primož Roglič firmly cemented his legacy as one of the best riders of his generation, equaling Roberto Heras with four general classification victories.

Roglič left the exclusive club of Tony Rominger and Alberto Contador with three victories when he picked up his fourth red jersey in 2024 to join Heras at the top of the record books.

Who is the youngest Vuelta a España winner?

When home-rider Angelino Soler won the 1961 Vuelta, he became the youngest rider ever to do so at 21 years and 167 days old, and the Spaniards record has held ever since.

Belgian rider Gustaaf Deloor was the winner of the first two editions of the Vuelta a España. Deloor's first victory at the age of 21 years and 325 days held the record for the youngest winner until Soler's success in 1961.

Deloor still remains second and fifth in the list for the youngest winners of the Vuelta a España.

Two more Belgian riders occupy the top 5, with Frans De Mulder in 3rd when he won the race in 1960 at 22 years and 153 days.

Meanwhile, in more recent times, Remco Evenepoel's maiden grand tour success ranks him fourth in the list at 22 years and 229 days old.
