After a podium on his Tour of Flanders debut, Remco Evenepoel lines up as the clear favourite for the 60th edition of the Amstel Gold Race, seeking revenge after being pipped on the line by Mattias Skjelmose last year. The defending champion returns with Lidl–Trek, while Visma | Lease a Bike pins their hopes on Matteo Jorgenson. Starting in Maastricht, the 257.2-kilometre Ardennes opener features 33 climbs through the rolling Limburg hills, with the punchy Keutenberg, Gulperberg and Eyserbosweg setting things alight before the decisive Cauberg, 900 metres at 7%, crests with just 1.7 kilometres to the finish.
