After dominating the opening cobbled races of the season, Mathieu van der Poel lines up at the E3 Saxo Classic chasing a third consecutive victory in Harelbeke. Often seen as a key test ahead of the Tour of Flanders, the race features repeated ascents of the Oude Kwaremont and Taaienberg, with this year’s route made tougher by a second passage of the Kwaremont.
