Stage 2 of the 2026 Giro d'Italia will take the riders from Burgas to Veliko Tarnovo in what should be a far more selective day for the peloton. The second stage of the Italian Grand Tour features a rolling parcours through the Bulgarian interior, with three third-category climbs across the 221 kilometres. The route includes the tough ascent to the Lyaskovets Monastery inside the final 13 kilometres, while cobbled sectors and punchy ramps in Veliko Tarnovo could split the favourites before the finish. Stage 2 is set to get underway at 12:15 CET and will finish at around 16:53 CET.
