Stage 20 of the 2026 Vuelta a España runs 186.8km from La Calahorra to Collado del Alguacil on Saturday, the queen stage of the race and the definitive mountain showdown before Sunday's finale in Granada. Almost 4,900 metres of elevation gain packed across five categorised ascents including a double passage over the Category 1 Puerto de El Purche, the steep Puerto de El Duque, and an unprecedented Hors Catégorie summit finish up Collado del Alguacil (8.3km at 9.8%) leave GC contenders with their ultimate arena to overturn the general classification.
