LIVE: Vuelta a España 2026 Stage 8: Will it come down to a reduced bunch sprint after a dramatic day that sees Pogacar abandon?

Vuelta a España - Stage 8

Stage 8 of the 2026 Vuelta a España runs 171km from Puçol to Xeraco on Saturday, the flattest day of the race so far and the first genuine chance for the sprinters since Roquetes. With just 1,280 metres of climbing and nothing categorised inside the closing 25 kilometres, the fast men's teams should finally get the stage they have been waiting for after three days in the mountains.
