The 11 national champion jerseys set to stand out at the 2026 Tour de France
The 2026 Tour de France peloton heads to Barcelona on Saturday, 4 July with eleven national road race champions on the expected start list. Lidl-Trek and Uno-X Mobility will be the most decorated teams in national colours with two jerseys. The remaining seven champions come from seven different squads.

Lidl-Trek will bring the tied largest contingent of national champions to the Tour, with Quinn Simmons and Mathias Vacek expected on the start line.
Simmons holds the United States road title, Vacek is the Czech champion. Their presence underlines the depth of a squad built to chase stages while supporting Juan Ayuso’s general classification campaign and Mads Pedersen’s bid for the green jersey.
Uno-X Mobility are the only other team with more than one national champion and are tied with Lidl-Trek. Magnus Cort will wear the Danish jersey, while Anders Skaarseth lines up as Norwegian champion. Both are part of a team focused on stage wins and Tobias Halland Johannessen’s general classification ambitions.
Seven other teams are expected to start with one national champion each: Romain Grégoire for Groupama-FDJ United, Felix Engelhardt for Jayco AlUla, Egan Bernal for Netcompany Ineos, George Bennett for NSN Cycling Team, Fred Wright for Pinarello-Q36.5, Isaac del Toro for UAE Team Emirates-XRG and Nicolas Vinokurov for XDS Astana Team.
Del Toro is arguably the standout name among them. The Mexican champion arrives after winning the Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and is expected to play a senior climbing role alongside Tadej Pogačar.
