2025 Giro d'Italia Women: Full startlist

The 2025 Giro d'Italia Women starts in Bergamo on July 6 and finishes in Imola on July 13 with 22 teams and 154 riders. Elisa Longo Borghini lines up as defending champion. She'll be up against the likes of four time winner Anna van der Breggen, last year's second place finisher, Lotte Kopecky (both SD Worx-Protime) and one of the riders of the year so far, Marlen Reusser (Movistar). Here you'll find the complete and up to date startlist for the 2025 Giro d'Italia Women.

There are 22 teams taking part in the 2025 Giro d'Italia Women, including all 15 UCI Women's WorldTeams, who were automatically invited. Two of the Women's ProTeams will also be on the start line for Sunday's Bergamo time trial, as well as five Women's Continental teams, all of them Italian based.

The race has a long and illustrious history, and until the creation of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift in 2022, was the most prestigious race on the women's calendar. It is for this reason the race still attracts some of the sport's biggest names.

As well as the GC contenders, one of the most prolific riders in history, Marianne Vos (Visma | Lease a Bike) will be hoping to add to her 32 stage wins. Lorena Wiebes (SD Worx-Protime) is, without doubt the world's best sprinter and will certainly be targeting the race's one flat stage and maybe more. And a long race always brings other names to the spotlight.

For much of its 35 year history the race was run at the same time as the men's Tour de France, limiting its visibility. In 2022 the new organiser tried to change this, but it took RCS, the organiser of the men's Giro, coming on board to make the change, and 2025 will be the final edition in July.

For many years the race was held over 10 days, but now, in alignment with the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift and Vuelta España Feminina, it is eight stages. Under UCI regulations this allows teams to field seven, instead of the normal six riders. They're all listed below, check the list and see who to follow!
