20 teams will take to the start line on Saturday, with each fielding 7 riders, resulting in a total field of 140 riders.
All 18 UCI WorldTour teams will feature, as well as Tudor Pro Cycling and the Australian national team.
Defending champion Mauro Schmid is set to line up, whilst recent Tour Down Under stage winners Matthew Brennan (Visma | Lease a Bike), Tobias Lund Andresen (Decathlon CMA CGM), Sam Watson (Ineos Grenadiers) and Sam Welsford (Ineos Grenadiers) also feature on the provisional start list.
