The race opens at 14:30 (CEST), with Eleftheria Giachou of Greece the first of 25 riders to take on the course in Šenčur. The field sets off at one-minute intervals, with the leading contenders filling the final half hour.

Marie Schreiber rolls down the ramp at 14:41 (CEST), with Steffi Häberlin starting at 14:43 and Nika Bobnar at 14:45. Lieke Nooijen gets underway at 14:47, before Dominika Włodarczyk starts at 14:49 and Cédrine Kerbaol at 14:50. The biggest focus, however, will be on Elisa Longo Borghini at 14:51, Franziska Koch at 14:52, newly crowned European road champion Demi Vollering at 14:53 and world champion Marlen Reusser, wearing number one, as the final rider away at 14:54.

Reusser looks the leading contender on a 22.1-kilometre course carrying 367 metres of climbing, chasing a record fifth European title after retaining her rainbow jersey in Montréal last month. Vollering, who won Saturday's road race on the same circuit, is the biggest threat.
