In total there are 24 teams on the start list, each fielding 7 riders, resulting in a total field of 168 riders.

All 18 WorldTour teams feature, alongside 6 ProTeams. The ProTeams include Bardiani CSF 7 Saber, Caja Rural-Seguros-RGA, Pinarello-Q36.5, Polti-VisitMalta, and Solution Tech NIPPO Rali.

Isaac del Toro (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) is among the names who will headline the battle for the blue jersey. The Mexican finished 4th on debut in 2024, before finishing 19th twelve months ago. Del Toro has made a fine start to the season, winning two stages and the GC at the UAE Tour, and the 22-year-old Mexican will be looking to add another WorldTour stage race to his palmarès.

Matteo Jorgenson (Visma | Lease a Bike) is the two-time defending Paris-Nice champion, but the American has opted for a trip to Italy this month for the first time since 2020. The last American winner. Jorgenson could make history if he wins the GC, as he would be the first American to do so, with Chris Horner's 2nd place in 2012 the current best result in Tirreno for the US.

2019 and 2023 winner Primož Roglič (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) will also kick off his 2026 season in Italy and will be joined by a strong pairing of Jai Hindley (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) and Giulio Pellizzari (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe).

Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Premier Tech) and Wout van Aert (Visma | Lease a Bike) are both also set to feature ahead of their upcoming Classics ambitions. This will be Van der Poel's fifth appearance at the race, having won three stages in the past. Van Aert has raced Tirreno twice previously, finishing 2nd and winning two stages in 2021.
