Alpecin confirm Deceuninck exit ahead of 2026 sponsor announcement
On Thursday, Deceuninck confirmed that it will no longer be a title sponsor of the team next season, but Alpecin has extended its partnership for another two years. The team will hold a press conference regarding its 2026 sponsors on Friday.

Deceuninck has formally withdrawn as a title sponsor of Mathieu van der Poel’s team, but Alpecin has confirmed that it will remain in place for at least two more years.
Team managers Philip and Christoph Roodhooft will hold a press conference in Antwerp on Friday morning “to share an important update regarding 2026 with relevant partner information and transfer news.”
On Thursday afternoon, it was confirmed that Alpecin will remain as title sponsor for two more seasons with an option to extend for a third year.
“Alpecin has been an important part of our structure for many years, and we appreciate the trust they continue to place in us,” the Roodhooft brothers said in a statement.
“Their renewed commitment provides the organisation with clarity and continuity, allowing us to plan ahead and continue to strengthen our foundation. We greatly value the relationship we have built together and are pleased to continue our collaboration.”
Alpecin has been the title sponsor of the team since 2020, while Deceuninck replaced Fenix as the second named sponsor in 2022. The window and door manufacturer was also a named sponsor of the Fenix-Deceuninck women’s team.
Deceuninck had previously sponsored QuickStep. Its departure as title sponsor of Alpecin was already announced in March, but on Thursday, it was announced that it would remain among the team’s minor sponsors. The Roodhooft brothers described the move as “an adjusted partnership.”
“Today’s announcement is not a farewell, but a confirmation of a new chapter,” read the statement. “Deceuninck has played a significant role in our development over the past four years, and we are very grateful for their support.”
It remains to be seen who, if anyone, will replace Deceuninck as a named sponsor of the team. Premier Tech has been linked with a possible sponsorship deal after withdrawing its backing from Israel-Premier Tech (now NSN Cycling Team).
The Canadian company has since signed a deal to sponsor the French Continental team St Michel – Preference Home – Auber93 for the next two seasons, though it will not be a title sponsor.
