Attila Valter swaps Visma for Bahrain Victorious
The Hungarian rider has signed a three-year deal with his new squad, bringing an end to his tenure at Visma | Lease a Bike.

Attila Valter will ride for Bahrain Victorious in 2026 after signing a three-year contract with the team. The Hungarian joins after spending the past three years with Visma | Lease a Bike.
“The team’s goals are perfectly matching with my personal ones. This gives me a lot of confidence and I’m excited to start this journey together with them,” Valter said in a statement on Friday.
The 27-year-old began his professional career with CCC in 2020 before switching to Groupama-FDJ in 2021. He enjoyed a spell in the pink jersey at that year’s Giro d’Italia and his strong performance on a range of terrains the following season saw him make the switch to Visma.
Valter was part of the Visma team that helped Sepp Kuss to overall victory at the 2023 Vuelta a España and he also placed fifth at Strade Bianche and fourth at O Gran Camiño in his maiden season with the team.
The Hungarian later placed fourth in the road race at the Paris 2024 Olympics. He has struggled to make an impression thus far in 2025, though he is in line to race in support of Jonas Vingegaard at the Vuelta.
“We are very pleased to welcome Attila to Bahrain Victorious,” said Bahrain managing director Milan ErĹľen. “He is a rider we’ve followed for a long time and believe he has the potential to take another step forward with us.Â
“Over the next two years, we see him playing a crucial role in the mountains – supporting our GC leaders while also having the freedom to chase his own results.”
