Ethan Hayter joins familiar faces at Pinarello-Q36.5 as major 2027 rebuild continues
Ethan Hayter agrees two-year deal with the Swiss ProTeam after two seasons with Soudal Quick-Step.

Pinarello-Q36.5 have confirmed the signing of Ethan Hayter on a two-year deal beginning in 2027.
The 28-year-old Briton will leave Soudal Quick-Step after two seasons with the Belgian team, during which he has claimed six road victories, all in time trials, including two British national titles.
Beyond his time trialling strength, Hayter has raced aggressively this season for Quick-Step, and this was on full display at the Vuelta a España, where he featured in multiple breakaways.
He accumulated around 400 kilometres off the front in the opening ten road stages and earned three most combative rider awards.
“I’d describe myself as a bit of an all-rounder. The last couple of years have been more focused on time trials, but I’ve also sprinted from small groups, and I really enjoy harder races and stage races,” Hayter said in an official team statement.
“At the Vuelta, after coming so close in the time trial, it was nice just to get stuck into the racing and go for it. That’s something I want to keep doing.
Hayter’s arrival strengthens the core of British star power within the Swiss ProTeam that currently includes Tom Pidcock, as well as Tom Gloag and national champion Fred Wright, both of whom Hayter grew up racing with.
“Pinarello Q36.5 was one of the teams I really wanted to join. From the outside, it looked very well organised and like a team that was progressing really nicely,” Hayter said. “I know a few of the riders already, and I felt it would be a really good fit for me.”
Pinarello-Q36.5 have been very active in the transfer market, with Hayter marking the Swiss ProTeam’s ninth arrival ahead of the 2027 season.
Andrew August, Sebastian Berwick, Pavel Bittner, Jan Castellon, Tom Crabbe, Niels Briesen, Liam O’Brien and Mauro Schmid are the other riders who will make the switch.
Additionally, the team have been heavily linked with Giulio Ciccone, with reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport indicating that the 31-year-old is set to sign a three-year contract with the Swiss ProTeam.
