First flash of form? Pogacar takes polka dots with fastest climb in Tour TTT
The official distance for the KOM was the final 3.7km of the 19.6km team time trial in Barcelona, and it was the World Champion Tadej Pogacar who was two seconds quicker than Jonas Vingegaard and Remco Evenepoel to take the polka dot jersey.

With the fastest time on the climb, Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) claimed the first polka dot jersey of the 2026 Tour de France.
Pogačar covered the final 3.7km in a time of 4:48, which was two seconds quicker than stage winner Jonas Vingegaard (Visma | Lease a Bike) and the Olympic and World time trial champion Remco Evenepoel (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe).
Filippo Ganna (Netcompany-Ineos) was the best of the rest, just three seconds behind Pogačar. Meanwhile, Tom Pidcock (Pinarello-Q36.5) put in a strong finish, 11 seconds behind Pogačar, alongside Juan Ayuso (Lidl-Trek) and Paul Seixas (Decathlon CMA CGM).
With Vingegaard in yellow, Pogacar in polka-dots and Egan Bernal in the green jersey, stage 2 will mark the first time that three Tour winners line up wearing the three main classification jerseys.
