French champion Dorian Godon joins INEOS Grenadiers

INEOS Grenadiers have confirmed the signing of French road race champion Dorian Godon on a three-year contract starting in 2026. The 29-year-old will join the British squad after spending the past seasons at Decathlon AG2R, bringing both experience and a proven record of victories.

Godon has collected twelve professional wins since turning pro, including the Brabantse Pijl in 2023, where he edged Ben Healy in a sprint, and the Giro del Veneto later that season. In 2024 he added two stage wins at the Tour de Romandie, while this June he claimed his first national title in Les Herbiers. He has also twice triumphed at Paris-Camembert and finished consistently in French one-day races.

“It is an honour to sign with the INEOS Grenadiers,” Godon said on his future team’s website. “For me it means a lot - and signing a multi-year deal is a real show of trust, which I value deeply. This feels like the start of an exciting new chapter in my career, and I’m ready to make the most of it. I want to make the French champion’s jersey - and the moustache - shine. The past few months I’ve watched the team racing with strength and unity in the bunch, and that’s really inspired me. I can’t wait to be a part of that.”

The Grenadiers describe Gordon as a rider 'known for his race craft and versatility, along with valuable grand tour experience, he will provide added strength and depth across the calendar for the Grenadiers.'

Dr. Scott Drawer, Performance Director at INEOS Grenadiers, welcomed the move. “Dorian is a smart, decisive winner with the robustness to shape hard races and the speed to finish them off. His ability to read chaotic finales, position efficiently and deliver gives us excellent options across a wide variety of races. We’ll integrate him quickly with clear targets for the spring and stage races to come and really look forward to having him join the team.”
