Shelter from the storm: Riders take cover as hail hits the Vuelta
It was the first Vuelta stage fully cancelled due to extreme weather since 1991.

Stage 3 of the Vuelta a España was abandoned with around 16km remaining due to a hailstorm.
Riders and staff gathered together in a hotel until the team buses, which were situated beyond the finish line, arrived at the point where the race had stopped.
