Ineos Grenadiers announce launch of development team for 2026
Ineos Grenadiers will field a development team in 2026, with the 12-rider roster 'incorporating a UCI Continental team and elite young rider development programmes.'

The creation of a development team for Ineos Grenadiers has been in the works for several years, with the British team sending their young talents Theodor Storm and Peter Øxenberg to Continental team Lotto Kern-Haus PSD Bank to gain valuable racing experience in 2025.
With Thursday's announcement, Ineos now joins a growing list of top teams with development teams to nurture their young talents, including the likes of UAE Team Emirates - XRG with the UAE Team Emirates Gen Z and Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe Rookies.
"The Racing Academy will provide a structured environment that mirrors the standards of the WorldTour - preparing young riders for the rigours of racing as a team at elite level," read a statement from Ineos.
"We have signed some exciting guys to the Racing Academy, and seeing all of them together for the first time felt like I was stepping back 20 years," Ineos Grenadiers Director of Racing Geraint Thomas said.
"I could picture myself sitting where they are now, with the whole journey ahead of them. They’re young, keen and it’s brilliant to have them integrated with the WorldTour team.”
The Ineos Grenadiers Racing Academy has a roster of 12 riders, including Hugo Boucher, Josh Charlton, Mattie Dodd, Davide Frigo and Theodor Storm.
