The 33km time trial is flat, fast and relatively devoid of technical difficulties as it loops out of Caen towards Thaon before turning back into the city. The roads, by and large, are wide and smooth, and the total elevation gain is less than 200m. A day for the purest of time triallists, read more of our stage 5 preview.
