Live recap: Tour de France 2025 - Stage 8 - Jonathan Milan wins the sprint!
Stage 8 of the 2025 Tour de France is a 171.4 kilometre stage from Saint-Méen-le-Grand, finishing in Laval Espace Mayenne. With over 1600 metres of elevation on the stage, expect a fast bunch sprint finish, however, the run in to the line is a slight drag. It should be no problem for today's top sprinters to be right up there in contention. The stage will get underway at 13:25 CET and will finish at around 17:15 CET, follow it all live with our live coverage.

What to expect? Stage 8 ends with an uphill sprint that perfectly suits Jonathan Milan, the clear favourite. Kaden Groves, backed by Van der Poel, and Biniam Girmay are strong podium contenders, while Wout van Aert could also feature. Merlier’s chances depend on the pace in the final kilometre, with Alpecin and Trek likely to keep it full gas. Lund Andresen, Meeus (if fit), Stewart, Van den Berg, Coquard and De Lie are all outsiders to watch.
