Lloyds Tour of Britain Men 2026 to start in Lincoln and finish in the Scottish Borders
The 2026 Lloyds Tour of Britain Men will run from September 2-6, with the race opening in Lincoln and closing in Earlston in the Scottish Borders. British Cycling Ventures confirmed the host venues on Monday. The five-stage race will cross Lincolnshire, East Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and the Scottish Borders, with new host venues in Lincoln, Boston and Skegness, Leyburn and Earlston, alongside returning hosts Hull, Beverley and Helmsley.

The race opens with a Lincoln start-finish on Wednesday 2 September. The cathedral city last hosted a national Tour over 30 years ago, with Lincoln a regular host of the Milk Race from the 1960s to 1992. The city annually hosts the Lincoln Grand Prix on the Lloyds National Road Series.
Stage 2 on Thursday 3 September starts in Boston and finishes on the coast in Skegness. Skegness was a regular Milk Race host and last finished a stage in 1991.
The race heads up the east coast for stage 3 on Friday 4 September, running from Hull to a finish at Beverley. Hull last hosted a stage start in 2008 to Dalby Forest, with Beverley a stage finish in 2023 where Olav Kooij took his third consecutive stage win of that year's race.
The penultimate stage on Saturday 5 September runs from Helmsley to Leyburn across the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales. Helmsley last hosted a stage in 2022, when Gonzalo Serrano took the win at Duncombe Park en route to overall victory. Leyburn welcomes its first ever Tour of Britain stage finish in the modern era.
The final stage on Sunday 6 September starts and finishes in Earlston in the Scottish Borders, 45 minutes outside Edinburgh. The Scottish Borders has hosted 12 Tour of Britain stages over the past 17 years. The region is on the route of stage 1 of the 2027 Tour de France, which starts in Edinburgh on Friday 2 July 2027 and passes through the Scottish Borders en route to Carlisle.

British Cycling Ventures said the 2025 Lloyds Tours brought an economic impact of £62.3 million across the ten stages of the men's and women's races. Detailed stage routes and the host venues for the women's race will be announced in the coming weeks.
