No new Mûr-de-Bretagne record in Tour de France stage 7
Tadej Pogačar won stage 7 of the Tour de France atop the Mûr-de-Bretagne, but the stage concluded without a new record on the 2km climb.

Riders faced a headwind of around 18km/h on the final ascent, which contributed to a relatively cautious finale. Pogačar’s time fell short of Dan Martin’s 2018 benchmark of 3:53, which still stands as the fastest on record. Mathieu van der Poel won on this climb in 2021 with a time of 3:58 - also just outside the record.
The Mûr-de-Bretagne has featured regularly in recent editions of the Tour. Cadel Evans won the first stage finish here in 2011 with a time of 4:10, while Alexis Vuillermoz set a mark of 4:08 when he triumphed in 2015.
