Pogacar and UAE hold firm at top of Tour de France prize money table
Two weeks in and it’s the Slovenian and his team who have a firm grip on the Tour de France in every aspect.

We’ve reached the second rest day of the 2025 Tour de France. The Pyrenees are behind us, the GC battle is beginning to settle, and the third week lies ahead. And while things seem to be tilting in Tadej Pogačar’s favour, there’s still plenty to race for - with prize money up for grabs in every sprint, climb and breakaway.
UAE Team Emirates-XRG have now passed the €100,000 mark, thanks to Pogačar’s relentless success across the general classification, stage wins and jerseys.
Tour de France prize money
The 2025 Tour de France offers a total prize pool of €2.3 million, spread across all aspects of the race - from overall standings and stage victories to jersey classifications, team rankings and daily awards. The overall winner takes home €500,000, with each stage win earning €11,000 and the yellow jersey wearer collecting a €500 bonus each day. In keeping with cycling tradition, the prize money is usually shared within teams, reflecting the collective spirt of the sport.

And just like in the race, it’s Visma | Lease a Bike who continue to pose the main threat to UAE. With €74,340, they hold a solid second place. Notably, the entire top five remains unchanged since the first rest day, with Alpecin-Deceuninck (€51,340), Lidl-Trek (€48,670) and Soudal Quick-Step (€42,210) occupying positions three to five.
Next up is Uno-X Mobility (€30,120), who have made a notable jump thanks to Jonas Abrahamsen’s stage win and strong performances by Tobias Halland Johannessen. On the first rest day, Red Bull–BORA–hansgrohe (€20,820) and Ineos Grenadiers (€24,330) were still near the bottom of the table, but they’ve since climbed into the midfield - driven by the efforts of Florian Lipowitz and Primož Roglič (Red Bull–BORA–hansgrohe) and Thymen Arensman (Ineos).
At the other end of the rankings, it’s a battle for the red lantern of prize money between Israel–Premier Tech (€6,860), Cofidis (€6,970), Movistar (€7,230), Lotto Dstny (€7,730) and Astana Qazaqstan Team (€8,770).
As the Tour heads into its decisive third week, the real prize money is still to come. The final general classification, jersey competitions and team rankings will bring in the biggest payouts (read our full breakdown) - and with every position counting, there's still plenty at stake for every rider and every team from a financial perspective.
