Skoda and Domestique launch Race Radio for cycling fans
Skoda and Domestique are introducing Race Radio, a new audio service created for cycling fans who want to stay close to the race, even when they cannot watch it live.

For many fans, following a race is not always easy. Key moments often happen during work, while travelling, in the car or when there is simply no screen nearby.
Race Radio is designed for exactly those moments. The service gives fans short spoken updates when something important happens in the race, so they can keep up without having to stop what they are doing.
Race Radio delivers audio alerts around the moments that shape the race. That could be an early breakaway, a sudden attack, a change in the leading group, a crash, a shift in the general classification or the build up to a sprint finish. Instead of checking a live blog, opening social media or refreshing an app, fans can simply listen.
The service works alongside other audio platforms, including Spotify, making it easy to use during everyday routines. Whether fans are driving, commuting, working or out for a ride themselves, Race Radio keeps them connected to the action in a simple and direct way.
Race Radio fits within that position in the sport, while also linking naturally to Škoda’s role as a car brand. Spoken race updates are designed for moments when fans cannot watch a screen, including when they are on the move. It allows the brand to explore how it can support the fan experience beyond visibility around the race itself.
Škoda and Domestique see the launch as a first step. The coming period will show how cycling fans use the service and which race moments are most suited to audio updates. Based on that, we intend to develop Race Radio further.
